When the winter months arrive clients rely on our organization for even more assistance than usual. Brutally cold temperatures and wintry mixes intensify the need for vital items like food, clothing and winter coats.

This past winter, Mary Anne Fusco of Warburg Realty kicked off her 15th Annual Coat Drive to benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters. This months-long effort yielded thousands of coats for men women and children in the locations that we support.

In addition, several coat drives (and other types of drives) were hosted by our supporters from the corporate community. These initiatives help to generate items that many New York-area people in need may otherwise go without. We were able to send a shipment that contained thousands of donated coats and articles of winter clothing to several shelters that we support in Manhattan.

Grateful clients can breathe a little easier knowing that they have a warm coat and an extra layer of clothing, to see them through.
