As a part of Macy's ongoing and much-appreciated support of the St Francis Food Pantries mission, two teams of Macy's volunteers rolled up their sleeves to serve lunch and provide fellowship to the elderly at Encore Community Services, a senior center in Manhattan that we provide with support. In all, more than 150 lunches were served!

Recognizing the good works of St Francis in supporting the elderly, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer was on hand. Gale has always been an advocate and proponent of NYC's elderly.

At the event, Macy's also renewed their commitment to our popular and successful Bag Lunch program.

Encore Community brings the elderly together for companionship over a nutritious meal. The employees are an integral part of Macy's outreach.

Serving food on their lunch time to seniors is... ...definitely appreciated!
